Given the situation that Japan would not surrender without an invasion costing many many thousands of casualties, what would you have done?
Well, modern evidence indicates that a mistranslation of an order from Japan as "no surrender" may have led to the dropping of the bomb. But if I had to drop the bomb, I wouldn't be all, "Get over it, you liberal pansies" about it.
