Under the Knife

Well, I'm back home. In about three-and-a-half hours, I'll be having the corrective implant removed, and hopefully the infection will be flushed out.

Yipes! Good luck! Are they putting in another implant, or just leaving things as they were?

I would make a joke about you getting carved up on Halloween, but I'm too much of a mom.

The second implant probably won't come along until Spring Break 2007. I'm going to the Netherlands as part of a school program next fall, and there's no way I'm risking another infection while an ocean away from my primary health care provider.
